Kazim Bhojani

Hi there. I'm Kazim, an embedded engineer

I design the board, then write the firmware that runs on it.

I'm an electronics and communication graduate from Bhavnagar. I design circuits in KiCad, write ESP32 firmware, and build working prototypes, from a QR-based drug dispenser to a payment kiosk running in production. I'm open to full-time and internship roles.

Embedded hardware and firmware, built end to end.

Hardware design

I take a board from a blank schematic to Gerber files: part selection from datasheets, a 60+ line BOM, ERC and DRC clean, and a two-layer layout with copper-pour grounding. Power is my favourite part: USB-C, Li-ion charging and protection, and LDO regulation.

Firmware

I write embedded C for ESP32 and ESP32-S3: RTOS tasks, MQTT, BLE and Wi-Fi, and touchscreen interfaces in LVGL. At Bonrix I cut downtime by 20% on production kiosks and fixed hardware and firmware issues side by side with the team.

A board I designed

A real board, designed in KiCad.

KiCad 3D render of my two-layer ESP32 board: ESP32-WROOM-32E module, USB-C input, charging and protection ICs, CH340C, switches and pin headers

The two-layer board as rendered in KiCad: ESP32-WROOM-32E, USB-C power, Li-ion charging and protection, 3.3V regulation, a CH340C USB-UART bridge, buttons and pin headers.

Things I have built

Automatic Drug Dispenser kiosk with medicine shelves, touchscreen, QR scanner and dispensing tray

Main project, group, Feb 2024

Automatic Drug Dispenser

A cabinet-style machine that hands out medicine only after it verifies a doctor-issued prescription by QR code.

  • Hardware: four-shelf cabinet with DC motors, driven by a Raspberry Pi 4 running Python, with a QR scanner.
  • MediDispense web app: custom React and Vite app with doctor login, patient login, QR generation and a machine finder map.
  • End to end: doctor issues, patient scans, machine releases the medicine.

Smart gesture glove with five flex sensors, a 16x2 LCD showing the detected gesture, a microcontroller and a small battery

Featured project, solo, Jul to Aug 2025

Smart Gesture Glove

A glove that turns hand gestures into text, to help speech-impaired people communicate.

  • Five flex sensors, one per finger, read by an Arduino Uno in real time.
  • Gesture to text on a 16x2 LCD, with a phrase mapped to each finger.
  • Simulated first in Tinkercad before assembly.

PCB design, independent, Sept to Oct 2026

ESP32 battery-powered IoT board

A complete board, from blank schematic to fabrication-ready files, in KiCad.

  • 60+ line BOM chosen from datasheets on cost, current and thermal performance.
  • ERC and DRC cleared, with copper-pour grounding on a two-layer layout.

TicketWave self-service kiosk touchscreen with Ticket Booking, Parking Fee, Event Pass and Donation options, and a printed receipt with a QR code

Firmware, Bonrix, Feb to Mar 2026

TicketWave, a ticketing kiosk with UPI

Firmware for a self-service payment kiosk running in production.

  • LVGL v8 touchscreen interface on a capacitive display.
  • Dynamic UPI QR codes and Bluetooth receipt printing.
  • Fixed hardware-firmware interface problems with peripherals.
